About Journey ADHD
Journey ADHD is operated by Deniz Cakmak, a registered ZZP’er (Zelfstandige Zonder Personeel) based in the Netherlands. Deniz Cakmak is responsible for the processing of your personal data according to the GDPR.

Journey ADHD may collect the following personal data from you:
Contact Details: Name, nickname (if provided), email address, phone number, physical address, and preferred method of contact. This includes any information you share when reaching out through our website https://journeyadhd.com/.
Background Information: Date of birth, occupation, education level, and household composition (optional).
Website Activity: Data about how you interact with our website https://journeyadhd.com/, including pages you visit, duration of visits, and browser details. This information may be gathered through cookies and similar technologies.
Coaching Process Data: Information relevant to your coaching journey, including feelings, personal background, life experiences, goals, and progress. Under GDPR, some of this information is classified as Special and Sensitive Data (particularly details concerning ADHD, health conditions, medications, and mental wellbeing) and receives enhanced protection accordingly.
2. For what purposes does Journey ADHD process your personal data?
It is necessary for Journey ADHD to process data in order to execute the coaching agreement. The personal data collected from you is used for the following purposes:
- To schedule and organize online coaching sessions
- To maintain contact with you before, during, and after the coaching relationship
- To send appointment reminders and session-related communications
- To provide you with newsletters and coaching resources if you have subscribed for them
- To send occasional marketing communications with your consent
- To create and send your invoices
- To comply with legal obligations such as tax and bookkeeping requirements
3. Granting and withdrawing consent
If you grant Journey ADHD permission to use personal data for marketing or newsletters, you can always withdraw this permission by emailing deniz@journeyadhd.com.
4. Sharing data with third parties
Your data will not be rented or sold to third parties.
Journey ADHD uses third-party service providers to deliver coaching services, including video conferencing, payment processing, and email services. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data in compliance with GDPR.
IT and bookkeeping support is provided by trusted individuals who have access only to financial records, not to intake forms, assessments, or coaching session information.
5. International data transfers
Journey ADHD is based in the Netherlands and serves clients internationally. When providing services to clients outside the EU/EEA, your personal data may be processed internationally through third-party service providers. These transfers are conducted in accordance with GDPR requirements.
6. How long will your data be stored?
Journey ADHD stores your data in accordance with the GDPR. The data will not be stored for longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which the data was collected.
Administrative and financial records (including intake forms, assessments, contracts, invoices, and related correspondence) are retained for the period required by Dutch fiscal law.
Session notes are discarded at the end of each session, as outlined in the Coaching Agreement.
